Last brew before doing Jim's ESB. This one using some Phoenix hops which I got from Wibblers Brewery. Not a great day for brewing outside as the rain has come on and to complicate matters SWMBO is off work sick (woman flu). Got man flu myself, but must soldier on in the quest for good beer. :D

Sounds like a nice beer! But how would you classify it? Oatmeal stout?

Looks delicious, can't wait to hear how it turns out!

Are you using yeast from Wibblers too?

Hi Jim,
Not sure myself. Possibly a dark ale or maybe just a dark best bitter. It's not dark enough to be a stout.

Hi Seymour,
No I didn't use Wibblers yeast, but planning do so in a future brew.

Cheers,
Charliemartin

Efficiency was down a bit on normal. I had another try at fly sparging, but still can't get the spinny sparge arm to spin. Ended up with 24 litres at 1.041 instead of 23 at 1.044.
