Brewday 08/09/07

:D I am brewing a Hobgoblin clone today. I found the recipe on this forum and thought i'd have a bash. I have just started the boil after a couple of mishaps. I got some of the turbid run off at the end of the sparge and then my boiler decided it wasn't going to go any hotter than 85 degrees celcius. Luckily, I had a spare element. :D
I have taken some piccy's, I shall do a full report later so you can all have a good laugh.
My good lady is just cooking a whacking great fry up. :D
Must dash, Yummy. :D

Running off after returning the first turbid back to the tun.
Mmmm.........smells good! :D
The temperature of the mash hadn't dropped at all.
I just lag my mash tun (bucket) with tank lagging, you can buy it from most DIY shops. :D

Boiling up at last. A minor problem, my element decided it wasn't going to heat up the brew above 85C. :(
Luckily, I had a spare element, poured the brew into another vessel so I could change the offending article. Poured back in. Mass aeriation :( .
Lots of froth.
