Two Coopers Kits one busy Sunday

Post by Fastline » Sun Oct 04, 2015 8:56 pm

The stocks of home brew running very low, been busy with everything but brewing beer

Brewed up 50g of citra in 6 litres of water, chucked it in the FV added a kilo of brew enhancer then 500g of light spray malt, then the Coopers Australian pale ale with a can full of boiling water and then topped up to 23 litres with water treated with half a campden tablet

It ended up being too hot to pitch the yeast, tried cooling it in the sink but didnt seem to want to cool, so i left it for a bit any way i thought id do another kit whilst i was waiting

Went for a cooper canadian blonde, this time pretty much as the book used a kilo of brew enhancer topped up to 23 litres

46 lires of beer oh yes thats a nice feeling

That's a great excuse for doing a double brewday =D>

I bet the Australian Pale Ale with Citra will be a cracking little brew, but just wondering what you did when you 'brewed up' the Citra and then 'chucked' it in?

I also bet that you will be dry hopping the Canadian Blonde once you've tasted the FG trial jar sample

Cheers

Brewed the Coopers Australian pale ale with Cascade hops and was very surprised at how good it turned out. So much so it didn't last long. Got another can when Tesco had its last sale.

Bottled up the Coopers APA the weekend, 44 Bottles

Dry hopping the Canadian blond will bottle this week

The double brew is definitely the way to go, if you haven't got a second fermentor yet id say put one on your christmas list, cant see me running low on beer for a while now

There a couple of coopers stouts kits waiting to go, going to try doing these with some wilko Amber liquid malt extract I got cheap the weekend
