I have just wrapped up my longest brewing session (I really must get a Braumeister!). I made one big batch of wort and split it in two to make Single Hop Pale Ales one with Cascade and the Other with East Kent Goldings.
Sunday night - overnight mash
To create the 32 litres of wort I needed here is the recipe I used:
3.02 KG Golden Promise
0.5KG Munich Malt
0.3 Kg Cara Pils
25g Black Malt
Mash at 66.7 degrees C, batch sparge
OG 1046
FG 1010
ABV 4%
EBU 12
Monday
Mash out with 4 batch sparges
16 litres direct to the boiler to brew, 16 litres retained in my bottling bucket with cling film over the top and the lid to keep it clean and fresh.
