Mine's turned out well too -- a good mix of sweetness and bitterness. Must admit it's not the style of beer I usually go for -- too much like grapefruit juice for my tastes. But I can't brew my boring brown beer every time.Jim wrote:Tastes good. It's a better balanced beer than you'd expect from the recipe.

That's not a bad amount. Hurrah for us!Jim wrote: Making a grand total of 256.5 litres of Wee Bee!
By the way, do we get to keep the beer we brewed, or does it have to go up to headquarters? All this eager totting-up of the total suddenly made me wonder...
Re: JBK Brewalong #2 Feb 2016
Bottled this tonight, 36 bottles - a nice little haul!
Stuck it on the concrete floor in the garage for a week and its crystal clear. Looking forward to trying it.

I packaged mine yesterday. Looks bright already and tasting nice. Not my normal style but a really nice beer. Reminds me of HSD a bit.
Tea is for mugs...

I transferred my bottles from the fermentation cabinet to the cellar yesterday. They can sit there for two or three weeks now.

i heard rumours of royalties at least.. a percentage levy on every litre brewed.. good job i only declared ten..Hogarth wrote: By the way, do we get to keep the beer we brewed, or does it have to go up to headquarters? All this eager totting-up of the total suddenly made me wonder...
seriously though the keg kicked in no time and it's a strong candidate for a quick rebrew on the bigrig.
dazzled, doused in gin..
