Just going to make a barrel of an English ale. Got the hops free from a brewery in city centre. Bonus!! And sold me a 25k bag of grain at cost as he orders grain by the tonne load so gets it cheaper. So 25k for £18. Happy days! Going to brew again on Friday too I reckon.

I like the look of that too. Late Challenger is is one of my secret weapons for English ales. I think it gets overlooked for late additions. Very nice.

Not used challenger in an English ale before. But have liked it in drinks I've tried of late. Would you dry hop with it? I'm used to doing American hopped up ales and dry hop those to some tune.

So the brew is on.
Grains
Now mashing away. Going to try a 90min one. See what happens as my efficiency has dropped of late. See if this makes any difference.

Quality. That's brew dog and his presents. They have now been shifted. I wasn't aware he had kindly left me those. That's how he repays me for taking him for a walk this morning. He's good like that!!

The hops. Won't be using all. But the challenger smell rather amazing.
