They sat in my garage for 20 years being sprayed with angle grinder dust so weren't up to much when I started brewing again. Can I find some nice transparent (plastic) FVs? Nope. End up peering at a mostly opaque white FV to work out the wort/foam level from the outside.....
The ones I have from the malt miller are about as translucent as those. Certainly translucent enough to tell trub from beer, and (just about) discern the level of foam.

+1 here, I have a couple of these which are useful to check levels of trub, foam etc.

Well I'm still not spot on with water volumes to start brew with. But beer smith suggested 32l. I came out 2l short. So I reckon that may be something to do with all the hops. Just topped up with a bit of water once completed.

Yeah you need to account for hop losses which will vary with the amount of hops.

It has settings to account for loss to hops. But I've never bothered with it as the amount I use varies with each beer.

Yeah it's just summat that experience will help you to judge. I actually squeeze the wort out of the hops with a potato masher! Sanitised obviously.

Good idea. Will give that ago as there is still plenty in there when I clean the pan and hops out.

All of it? :) Looks like a cracking recipe, just the sort of thing I am in to. What are the ABV and IBUs?

Was going to do 30g of each. But only 50g packs so thought may as well just lob the lot in. It's 42 IBU and will be about 5.4% I reckon.

Bungle,
Great choice of Hops! :D
Glad to see you `Bungled` them all in! No faffing about, no naysayers telling you otherwise! :D
Are you Bungling these in on top of the beer or bagging them?
If you are bagging, they will need a lot of weight to hold them buggers down!
The final brew should be `Bloody Lovely Mun`! =D> =D>

They are in a bag full of marbles to hopefully keep the rascals from floating about.

Nice hop combo!

I had the same problem with post boil volume in the past. In Beersmith edit your equipment profile to account for 2 extra liters. From memory I split mine between boil-off and losses to trub. My post boil vol is more or less spot on now.
