Re: Brewdog/Cloudwater NEIPA
Is there lots of wiring / tinkering to do once the box is purchased? Currently have an STC controlling fridge and a heat tube in it ? I'm naff with electrical stuff.

That's what I had (stc/tube heater) before I went for the brewpi.
If you can wire a plug and follow instructions it's a piece of cake.......what I did........

Re: Brewdog/Cloudwater NEIPA
So is that basically making the thing you can buy of the brewpi link you sent. Or is that something you need to run along side it?

No.
Total waste of money. Follow the instructions in the link I posted and you'll be fine.

Re: Brewdog/Cloudwater NEIPA
Cheers for that..... anyway back to what this thread is actually about. You only used 100g of hops at flameout for 64L?

Aye. Exactly. Was doing my head in.
Got 600g pellets waiting to be dropped in on Tuesday.
It was a bit hard to understand but I have a mate that works for Brewdog and I asked him if it was right and the recipe is apparently spot on to what they do.

Re: Brewdog/Cloudwater NEIPA
So I plan to do 23L that'll be hardly any hops at flameout really. Then was going to do 100g of citra and mosaic dry hop for 7 days.

According to the DIY Dog book it'll be 33g of hops at flameout and 100g of Citra AND mosaic in the dry hop.

Re: Brewdog/Cloudwater NEIPA
I just don't get how that amount of hops at that time will achieve the stated IBU for that recipe.

As Kev said, this is the variety used by Muntons for their pale malt, it is a spring variety that gives a biscuity flavour. Well worth trying.Bunglebrewsbeer wrote:I want to make this. What is propono?

Will give it a go sometime. But I've currently 20k marris sat waiting to be used that I bought recently.

Re: Brewdog/Cloudwater NEIPA
Got the rest of stuff. Was just dubious as to the hop addition achieving that IBU. How long are you dry hopping for?
