While I’m not making beer I can’t actually drink… I’m making infected beer.

My Fullers yeast has gone through a few generations and has been central to award winning beers. However I made a beer with the latest generation, and it took longer than normal to ferment, and finished a bit yeasty.

Ignoring my gut I thought it must have been something in my process, and having drain poured the previous beer I made another with the same yeast crop.

The ferment has overshot it’s normal reliable FG, is still going 24 hours past when it would have completed fermenting and currently smells like a medicine cabinet.

Listen to your gut Jocky!

I too am prepared to offer my services to help you with the stout ;)
Actually I quite like the stout… over 10% abv, and with lashings of chocolate, coffee and bourbon. If only it didn’t keep me awake at night!

Message me your address and I’ll send you a bottle.
A 10% stout that keeps you awake.......that's an unusual brew.Image
