There would have been pictures but I forgot to put the memory card in the camera

The brew day went without a hitch. I sampled some fine ales, and as importantly some pretty bad ones

Dan had created some ales with flaws deliberatley, and as a reference to knowing what flaws should taste like, I found the lesson invaluable, particularly the taste that the hot break can carry over....yuk

I tasted some brews with hops in that I haven't used yet, and a monstser APA, with a cascade and bitterness level that was right up my street

In fact I'm enjoying one as I type as Dan gave me a crates worth of carry outs

I learnt a lot on this brew day including the taste difference in brewing with soft and hard water and this was particularly exemplified in a Dortmunder style.
I was particularly impressed with Dans kegerator fridge freezer....it holds 8 cornys

Most of the beers I sampled were lager types, and as such, I left Dan with with a real wanting for a lagering fridge. The beers were so clean and crisp, something I've not experienced yet.
It was an interesting brew day for me. I have concentrated on the equpment aspect of brewing to date and not the technicalities of producing beer. Dan has a very good grip of the technical aspect of brewing and it was an eye opener to me, there's still a lot to learn

I would like to thank Dan, Sun, and his family for the hospitality they afforded to Keeley and I. In particular the prawn curry Sun made washed down with one of Dans APA's was one of the highlights of the day.
