Double Brew Weekend

Post by smp465 » Sun Dec 02, 2007 11:56 am

Bitter and twisted clone yesterday (sorry, having trouble with pics. How does this work?):

3.7kg Pale
0.45kg Wheat
22g Challenger 8%(90mins)
30g Hersbrucker 2.3%(15mins)
30g Hersbrucker (10mins)
20g Styrian 3% (10mins)
22g Styrian (1min)
10g Styrian steeped for 30 mins

Thought it was going to be one of those days when i dropped my glass thermometer on the kitchen floor first thing and stained my clothes with CRS! However, things did improve and i have some pics if i can work out how to post them.

In the middle of a second brew (Evil Twin). Details to be added here...gotta go and do a hop addition....

Prolix, sorry, got distracted by the actual brewing and forgot to add recipe. It came from another post somewhere, but it is here:

http://www.mrmalty.com/late_hopping.htm

The wort smelt amazing prior to pitching, but i am a bit of a hophead.

Evil Twin? I was looking at this recipe only a couple of days ago! When its ready can you let us know the results, and is it a good red colour?

Yes, the colour is slightly red, very inviting. The hardest bit is always waiting for the tasting..........

Let you know.

I know what you mean! Been thinking about brewing a blood red beer myself so it'll be good to see a pic of the finished article
