Firstly lager malt needs mashing, so if you've steeped it at 65c for an hour then you've effectively mashed it.......
When you say it's an IPA not a lager, that, is due to the use of ale or lager yeast. A pale ale can be a lager with an ale yeast, as a lager can be an ale with a lager yeast.....
I don't really get your issue.
Re: Sort this out!!!!
Assuming that is not a troll post....
Can you be a bit more specific about the "it's an IPA not a lager" thing.
Do you mean colour?
Is it too hoppy?
Too malty?
Wrong hop aroma?

Re: Sort this out!!!!
Hello again the colour is just like Newcastle brown but the taste is v similar to thornbridge Jaipur but with much less bite.yes I mashed for 1 hour at 155f .I'm thinking of getting one in the bin this wknd and using 1.5 kills of lager grain the kit calls for 300g dextrose and 500g dme will 1.5kg give enough sugar or should I add dextrose maybe half? Thanks guys.
Re: Sort this out!!!!
I should probably say I'm trying to brew a good german Czech style pilsner if anyone can recommend any kits recipes that would be great I'm wanting to do mini mash thing.

Have you already got a good temperature controlled chamber for fermenting and lagering at close to zero for a few weeks? If not then you're not looking at making a "good" german/czech style pils, but just a pale ale.
