Hop's for my extract quest

Post by OldConkerwood » Sun Aug 07, 2011 8:35 pm

Hi all, did my first extract brew last week(Batemans Victory Ale from GW's book) and the first results( tasting the F.G.sample at the bottling stage) were very positive( could of drank the lot straight from it :D ) now I had some Styrian Goldings from meddling with hop tea & kits, so now owing to said extract recipe I have some Goldings, both air tight in the fridge. want to try brewing different beers using different hops, but dont want to waste my hops, so the rub is, how long will they last in my fridge?
Cheers Barnie. :?

I freeze mine and think they should be fine for a year.

I just put mine in sandwich bags and mark how much is left on each bag so I can have a quick look while planning a brew.

I've had hops in the freezer that were still good five years later.
I'm just here for the beer.
