thanks for the info guys; I've been trying to leave it to mature but keep drinking it only half a dozen bottles left. Time to make some more

and yes I live in a very hard water area, and we use salt tablets to soften the water....

doesnt sound like too much of an issue then less hops next time, haha. be careful with high alpha hops, a little can make a big difference. one of the best things I ever bought was accurate digital scales.

better make that 4 bottles left. its still a bit bitter, but much much better than the bavarian lager I've been drinking for the last dozen years
the only problem is what to brew next
