Well i've just been and bought some Grolsch type swing top bottles. Anything I should be aware of with this type? Apart from being expensive

Not really, just soak 'em in sanitizer first as always. Someday in the distant future you may need to buy new rubber grommits, but otherwise they're nice and easy.Bradfordlad wrote:...Anything I should be aware of with this type?...

Paid £8 for 6 Grolsch type bottles at dinnertime............went for a pint after work in my local and asked if they had ever sold Grolsch.
Yes. Yes they did. About 40 crates full of empties in the cellar. Looks like i'm gonna be cleaning lots of bottles for the next few days

Brown glass is preferable over green as it absorbs the wavelengths of light that can cause off flavours in your beer.
Green bottles are fine, but you need to store them in the dark.
