Hi everyone
Has anyone had problems with Timmy taylors extract recipee clearing. Mine has been bottled for four weeks now and just an inch has cleared at the top. Is this normal? I have done two extract brews since and one is nearly cleared and the other is cleared. I suppose all good things come to those who wait but this seems ages for me.
any advice welcome
Mart

What yeast did you use?
Have tried sticking a couple of bottles in the fridge for a few days?

Hi Guys
I have kept my beer in bottles in the kitchen for one week (around 18-24 degrees celsius) and then upstairs in bedroom for 3 weeks which is a bit cooler. I do this with all my extract recipees and they normally work fine. I used Windsor yeast however which I do not normally use. I normally use safale 04 or 05. It has started to clear at the top of the bottles but not much.

Now the weather has gone a lot colder it may be worth putting the bottles outside in a couple of crates covered over so that they dont get exposed to the small amount of UV light of winter.
Does the temperature in the house fluctuate a lot, i.e warm when Your are in and cold when at work etc?
Windsor can be a sod to drop clear.
If all else fails they should still be drinkable albeit a little cloudy.
Hope this helps

Hi BZ
Nope, temp remains the same. Not sure whether it is my imagination but I think there is a little progress this morning on the clearing front. Not much but a little. I don't mind waiting as I have 72 bottles of amorillo to enjoy while I wait!
Thanks for your input

Not a TT recipe but I have had the same problem, bottled over three weeks, 1 inch clear the rest cloudy. Chilling made no difference.
