Beer heading liquid?

Post by juuunx2 » Sat Dec 01, 2012 11:53 am

HI all

Does anyone use beer heading liquid? Is this cheating? I have seen some advertised but not sure whether it has nasty chemicals etc in it.
As usual any comments appreciated

I've never considered it as I've never had problems with the head of my beer. Personally I think with the quality of available extract and ingredients these days I can't see why you would need the stuff.

Do you have a problem with the head of your beer?
Ingredients: Water, Barley, Hops, Yeast, Seaweed, Blood, Sweat, The swim bladder of a sturgeon, My enemies tears, Scenes of mild peril, An otter's handbag and Riboflavin.

Hi Jocky, no I don't I just wondered about why someone would use it and in what circumstances. Maybe it is aimed more at thre kits than extract brewing. I just saw it on Amazon or somewhere.
Thanks for the reply

Try substituting 200 or 300g of spray malt for wheat malt extract.

You can up this to 25% even if you really want something light and fluffy. Great in blond beers.
