Hello mark14, and welcome.

Interesting list of potential ingredients! One thing strikes me immediately--you have no hops in the list. Whatever you make with those ingredients will be alcoholic, but couldn't be called beer!

A standard beer using liquid malt extract would use about 3kg extract, or a bit less and some sugar. Plus hops, perhaps 50 grams or so. To give you an idea of what's involved, here's a link to a recipe, with the technique, for a beer modelled on Courage Directors ale.

Hope this helps as a first step into the wonderful world of brewing.

Keep asking questions!

Guy

Personally I would wait a couple more days (at least), until the hydrometer readings stabilise. I've had hydrometers in the past with the same 'bottle now' markings and have ignored them every time as they are only a very rough guide

You'll have to wait for the treacle to ferment before bottling, or else it will be very sweet (not to mention the danger of bottle bombs!).

well the ferment stopped, still a bit to hoppy so added 500gr brown sugar, gently stirred, white foam bubbles lid back on had lid off barely 90 secs, i will look and if no ferment in morning ,i will prime and bootle and take a hydrometer reading, thank you all for advise, think warrior hops to strong for this i will add less to next, next is a beer brew from the suggestions

This will be a really interesting beer when it's finished.

What ingredients do you have for your next brew?
