Although I agree with this (it's hard to change historical fact), there are still some fine American hoppy style beers that use the IPA moniker. However, there are a good few British IPA's that I've often considered great beers but far from the IPA style. For example, Deuchars IPA is a lovely beer but far removed from the style. Greene King's IPA is another.
All I was hoping for was some advice on a good IPA recipe (authentic or not) as I've never brewed this style and wondered if someone wanted to share their tried and tested recipe.
