Okay boil it separate it from the precipitate...

Then... take the ph? Anything else?

You could add some beneficial salts, such as gypsum (if your water needs it, that is). That'll help with the hop flavour (some waters can extract a harsh flavour from the hops).

Water treatment for extract recipes is more about the flavour than anything else; in grain recipes it's about getting the right conditions in the mash for a good conversion.
