ok i`m going to make a john bull India Pale Ale and use a Muntons Beer Kit Enhancer. At the secondary fermentation do i add the crushed Bavarian Smoked Malt i the way that Daft as a Brush said or to the first fermentation ?

Daft as a Brush quote...
Here is a simple method of mashing based on Jaytees method for steeping grain.

Add water at 70 deg c to a thermos flask allowing room for your grain, add 250g of grain, top up with water to acheive an over all temperature of 66deg c.

After an hour pour through a seive into a saucepan.

Fill flask with hot water again and use it to pour over the grains a few more times.

Boil this liquid for 15 mins to steralise let it cool and add it to your fermentor.

At the end of this how much grain water will i have the ipa kit makes 40pints
