Hobgoblin clone

Brewed my first extract brew weekend before last, its a hobgoblin clone I found on this forum. After 7 days fermenting at 19 degrees its sg dropped down to 1.10 so i moved it to a secondary fv and I've dropped the temperature to 8 degree's to help it clear before bottleing (having read the brewery website its what they do so thought I'd copy!).

I had a sneaky taste when i moved it from the primary to secondary. It's REALLY bitter, will this mellow as it matures? slightly worried I've over hopped it and its going to be horrid

any one kwow if it'll mellow [-o<

Cheers Andrew

It will mellow for definite. Still very early. Add some gelatine and let it sit for a week. Bottle it and a few weeks later that harsh bitterness will have mellowed.

Hobgoblin is a great beer. Need to brew another soon!
