Pilsner LME/DME
Pilsner LME/DME
As this doesn't seem to be available in the UK, would extra light DME be a good substitute?

Re: Pilsner LME/DME
That should work, you want to go with the lightest possible extract for a pilsner.
If I were going to do an extract plsner I would do less than a 60 minute boil to hopefully avoid some of the darkening that happens the longer you boil.

I'm just here for the beer.

Re: Pilsner LME/DME
Seeing as Craftbrewer in Oz want 50 AUD for them (about £30) someone is making a killing on these...and it ain't Rob.
Re: Pilsner LME/DME
Holy crap, I can get those from Germany at €18.99 for the 4KG plus postage which is €18 for up to 30kg, which means if you get a few different things it brings the cost down a lot, if you got 7 of these that'd be about €21 for the drum, someone is taking the mickey.

I've bought from them before.

I'm not interested in them anymore as I've moved onto all-grain, but they made a great fermentable for Coopers Pale ale. If you want to do it and need some help with the website to place the order let me know I can translate for you. As far as I remember if you email them in English they will be able to sort you out, I think I asked for people before.PEACOCKSUIT wrote:Id have one or two if anyone wants to do a bulk buy.....
