DME v LME

Pretty new to extract brewing and always used LME so far and would like any comments from DME users as to what the difference is.I think it maybe cheaper but is there any other benefits?

I guess one benefit of DME would be the ease of keeping any opened and part-used packs, if you open a tin of LME you pretty much have to use it or lose it.

You also need to be aware that DME is "stronger" than LME. That is, you need less DME, by weight, to hit the same gravity. This is because LME contains some water (about 20% iirc).

One down side of DME is that it can be a right pain to dissolve it. It's easy to end up in clump city. It's not a massive problem though.
