Extract Using DME

Extract Using DME

I'm brewing Exe Vally Spring Beer with DME and wondered if I should melt it in a pan of water before adding it to the boiler?

I always used to put water in the boiler before adding the DME, than I stir it around until all disolved before turning the boiler on.

Just noticed that I bought a 500g bag of Hopped instead of all SML so I'll have to take a trip back to my LHBS tomorrow. :(
