dark beer help

i've just made this.

0.5 kg dark dme
0.5 kg light dme
1.0 kg cooper's BKE no.2
1.0kg amber DME

10litres water

boil for 90minutes
at 00 minutes 33g challenger
at 60 minutes 33g challenger
at 75 minutes 33g challenger

at 90 minutes - cool, strain hops & dilute to 20 litres
add safeale no.4 and 50g challenger in a viole bag

what do more experienced folk think?

I take you are aiming for something very bitter and also quite hoppy.

I reckon you will end up with a bitterness of about 56 IBU, assuming your hops are approx 6 AA%, which is quite bitter, but you should have a reasonable strength with an OG of about 1.056 so there should be a reasonable amount of body there to cope with it.

The dry hopping will give it an extra kick of aroma, thats quite a lot to be using. I wouldn't put the hops in at the same time as the yeast though, I would wait until the Primary fermentation is almost complete or you will lose a lot of the flavour while fermentation is taking place.
