roasted buckwheat groats

Hi folks,

Anybody ever use roasted buckwheat groats as a speciality grain in an extract recipe? I got 400g from a Polish deli nearby on a whim and now I am thinking of steeping it in with my other grains in an stout recipe (fermentables from extract of course).

Besides some colour, what else might I expect. All the online advice I find discusses buckwheat and something to use alongside sorghum in all-grain, gluten-free ale recipes, but I don't need to go that route I just wanted to add it and see.
