With a single extract brew under my belt, some positive feedback from friends and family and having devoured Palmers How To Brew and Daniel's Desinging Great Beers, I've thrown together my own recipe for my second batch. Reading Daniel's book, I'm totally stoked at the prospect of brewing my own custom-made recipes; it's ignited my enthusiasm for brewing. My goal is to make the very best beer I can, but in pursuit of this goal I'm ready to make a few mistakes along the way - I figure that the only thing worse than a mistake I can't learn from is a success I can't replicate.
The plan for brew 2 was to make a generic English pale ale / bitter. I settled on a combination of Fuggles and EK Goldings. When the sun started shining yesterday I decided something golden and hoppy was in order. Some tinkering in BeerEngine, and I came up with the following:
Any thoughts would be appreciated

Recipe Name: Notorious A.B.G. (Ale. British. Generic - lame, eh?)
Batch Number: 2
Recipe Volume: 20 litres
Boil Volume: 10 litres
Yeast: Safale S-04 English Ale Yeast (dried).
Malt Bill: / Quantity / Type
1. Brupaks Pale Malt Extract 3.0kg LME
2. British Caramalt 30EBC 500g Speciality Grain
Hops: Amount / Time / % Alpha Acid
1. Fuggles 60g 60m 3.95
2. East Kent Goldings 7g 15m 4.96
3. East Kent Goldings 7g 5m 4.96
Dry Hops:
1. 14g EKG to be added post-drop for max 2 weeks.
Calculated Original Gravity: 1.050 (assuming 75% efficiency for the steep)
Estimated ABV 4.9%.
Calculated IBU: 30
Calculated colour: 14 EBC (7 SRM)
Thought went into every aspect of the recipe - I won't witter on with my thoughts / justifications for each decision, but they're there (and ready to be disected).
