Hi gents,

I have been doing extract for alomst a year now with a good few brews under my belt.

Currently i boil up 500g of DME in 10 litres of water and add the remaing DME, 2.5kg, 5 mnutes from the end of my boil.

Playing with my brewing software, brewr for android, i note that if i reduce the quantity of DME at the start my IBU is directly affected resulting in a higher bitterness.

However, i am wondering if this would be a worthwhile change to get more bang for my buck or if there is a quantity of DME that you shouldnt go below for the boil.

Any advice is, as always, greatly appreciated.
