Will this please just stop fermenting!!?

Post by patwestlake » Wed Aug 02, 2017 7:47 pm

ok, so fermenting for a long time isn't unusual. I normally leave it for 14 days, and by then it's not just done, but really done. But not this one. Brewed up on Sunday, still bubbling every minute or so on the following Wednesday....... Coopers APA + dme + loads of hops + Mangrove Jacks Liberty Bell. And it's the last bit that's the difference as I've never used this yeast before. Set of like a good'n starting from 18degC and sitting at 21 for 10 days (target temp is 20-22 to get some good fruit tones) but it will not stop bubbling.... I'll take a reading tonight but any idea?

The best thing to do is to take some gravity readings. If it is stable over three days then it should be done.
