Just to add. As I use a net curtain I just peg it to the washing line and hose it all down with the garden hose then let it dry. no soap or anything else, just water. This net has been used in over 30 brews now and is still good.
Don't over think things, after all anything that has been in contact with the bag is getting boiled anyway.
