Hi all
been looking for a new boiler for biab. Carnt decide on
32ltr brupaks pot which i will put an element in about 72 quid
or
40ĺtr buffalo boiler for about 140 quid
i will be using it for biab only which i havnt done for a long time it feels. Would normally make ales around 5.5% max
which do you think would be the best option
cheers
what size boiler
Re: what size boiler
I use a 40 l buffalo which worked great for the first 6 brews, then started cutting out. I've just bypassed the thermal switch and it's been perfect since, i wouldn't want anything smaller. Only worry is that replacement elements can't be found easily as they have stopped making them. Mine cost £89 on eBay, so I'd shop around a bit. If you get the buffalo let me know, I have loads of ceramic blocks left needed to bypass the thermal switch and I'm down the road in bradford.
