1st biab just checking gravity.

Just done my first 15 litre brew, 3kg marris otter it's come out at 1078 is that ok or should I dilute it down a bit.

I don't think you are checking your gravity right. 3kgMO will never produce that gravity on 15l

Measured at 20 I've added 5 litres and it's reading 1048 total 15 litres

Sounds ok to me. It seems that your mash wasn't necessarily as efficient as it could have been (depending on your target gravity and wort amount).

Was your intention to get a 15l brew length with that gravity?
