well F$%£k me , i made a czech pilsner from greg hughs's book and it was fantastic , me and a couple mates smashed it last week ! Hard to believe the first attempt , high hopes for the ones i have conditioning now !

Sounds cracking mate! I haven't done an all grain lager or pilsner yet. I've got a Keo Lager recipe that I'm gonna try out this winter.

the only downside to it was a bit of chill haze , but seeing as i did most things a bit on the agricultural side with no real idea what i was doing it was amazing. Whats the keo lager?

Keo Lager is the local lager of Cyprus.

Im getting chill haze now with my beer but I've got to the point where it doesn't bother me anymore. As I've done quite a few really hoppy IPA's it can't be helped really, all becomes one with the hop oils! :)

i used fermentis w34/70 , its a cracking lager yeast, tried a few lager kits and they were all bad until i tried that yeast.

Good choice! That is my go to yeast for all lager kits I've done. Gonna be using it for my all grain lager.

ive done 5 ag lagers this month , all with that yeast. czech pilsner , dortmunder export (not my bag) , american pilsner , another czech but with marris otter as malt , and finally another czech with an irish lager malt. (going to do another this wknd with bohemian pilsner malt !).
