Have to love SWMBO

Post by snowbeast » Tue Mar 01, 2016 3:45 pm

I've been in hiding for a while, brew equipment was smashed in a storm last year and hating doing 5l batches.
Was looking at emigrating so didn't replace the equipment as I thought it would be easier to buy once we had moved.

Long story short, SWMBO is getting promoted Jan next year (She has maternity leave July- December fully paid - she's a remedial teacher) and I am doing very well at work so we not emigrating.

Last night I was putting the finishing touches on the baby room and SWMBO comes in and asks if I want to rebuild my setup!
oh boy did I!!!
Monday I am getting a 50l stainless pot, she will buy the fabric and make me a grain bag (bag making bag jokes didnt go down well.) and I just need to get a FV and some sort of heat source and I'm golden.
The equipment will be rough until I can attach an outlet and sight glass, but i'm not complaining!

[-o< Really happy with my dearly beloved.
Hoping to make some strong ales as my folks place has a small underground cellar and a couple session ales.

Thanks Wales! Kits are just too expensive in SA. One can, no additions can cost the same as a BIAB brew. Keen to also start playing (not to the extent of a tractor cock ale)

That's amazing - and congrats on the expected arrival - both of them.

If it was my missus I'd be seriously worried about what she'd be wanting in return.....

But that's my problem....
