Lest we forget

Post by IPA » Sun Nov 30, 2025 12:57 pm

Graham Wheeler is a name familiar to most of us and to whom we owe a great debt of gratitude. Because he gave us so much information and enabled us to embark on our brewing hobby confident that we can brew successfully.
Graham died on this day in 2017 and in memory of him I have posted this photo of him taken in the White Hart Canterbury by Trefoyl of this forum.

I’ll raise a glass of Homebrew to him. He didn’t like having his picture taken so I had to surprise him
Sommeliers recommend that you swirl a glass of wine and inhale its bouquet before throwing it in the face of your enemy.

Most of my British ales are based on Graham's recipes. I can't think of anyone else who contributed as much as Graham to brewing a decent pint, in my time as a home brewer. Invaluable.

Long before the internet was a thing, I found Graham's book in the local library. It was an inspiration.
