I wonder what the real benefits are compared with using golden syrup with added caramel if desired. Has anyone done a comparison test?

If anybody's interested, Braumarkt are having a bit of a clear out including this title at 5.98€. I've snapped up my copy and I don't know how many they have left. Not sure they deliver to the UK, though.
I'm cheap. Just give me beer.

Just be careful you don’t order the version in Dutch! An Ankoù wrote:If anybody's interested, Braumarkt are having a bit of a clear out including this title at 5.98€. I've snapped up my copy and I don't know how many they have left. Not sure they deliver to the UK, though.

Thanks for the tip. I think it is the Dutch version. Fortunately, I can still struggle through it.f00b4r wrote: ↑Thu Apr 29, 2021 9:47 amJust be careful you don’t order the version in Dutch! An Ankoù wrote:If anybody's interested, Braumarkt are having a bit of a clear out including this title at 5.98€. I did take another look and although the shows Dutch (they used to have both versions) the additional info shows English (you have to click on it).

Indeed it does. Just have to wait and see what comes. I'll be happy with either, If I get stuck I can always compare with the online e-edition.

For a couple of years I obtained significant proportions of my brewing requirements from Braumarkt at advantageous prices. Sadly from the end of last year they ceased supplies to UK as trade arrangements changed.
Without patience, life becomes difficult and the sooner it's finished, the better.

My latest move neccesitated yet another downsizing of my library. This was one of the books that survived the purge.

I'm just here for the beer.
Re: Ron Pattinson's The Homebrewer's Guide to Vintage Beer
The book on session beers is one I haven't come across before and looks very interesting indeed. Just had a quick gander at the Amazon sample and there seem to be no recipes for English session beers- not a problem as they exist in abundance, and the introductory section "What is a Session Beer" doesn't seem to tell us what a session beer is. Nevertheless, it looks a fascinating read. Just about to order a copy. Thanks.
