This book seems like its been discussed for years but the imminent release is finally here....

Thanks for that, I'm toying with idea of buying the book but think it might be a bit of a dry read.
Top pancake advice though!

Its on the Birthday list, I doubt I will understand it, I gave up half way through Yeast.

Yeast is indeed an epic read the induction is informative, but I imagine this book will be similar in respect to taking what you need from it without building a laboratory..It's on my birthday wush list to childish maybe but its my only request. ..

My copy has just been despatched from Amazon at the weekend

My copy arrived today

... good ideas to go on the Christmas list to stop getting pestered for presents.
(I have a really long list if cost was no issue)

My copy was waiting for me when I got home today, pretty good delivery service considering they aren't dispatching it for another week!

Now just how quickly can I digest 300 pages on water . . . Brewers Contact deadline date for an article / review is 24th November . . .could be pushing it

Baarney was attempting to read his copy when I delivered his polykegs a few weekends ago - I think he got to the end of the first paragraph and started reading the car handbook instead

I think it classifies as a "heavy read"...

I read it in three days. The thing I'm not sure I learned very much. When stuff comes up I think oh yeah that was in water I should read that section again. But I lent it to my brother.

I keep skimming through the book but IMHO a water report, a salifert kit, JBK members and maybe a brewing calculator is all I need .

You shouldn't be surprised that most brewers can't even conceive of employing that level of effort. Hopefully the book provides some impetus for the average brewer to understand that sometimes they DO need to think about their brewing water.

I think about my water everytime I brew...

I just choose not to do too much about it...
My soft water is great for brewing pale ales and Kolsch's etc...

I'll manage lol
