What size kegs to go for...
What size kegs to go for...
Have decided to sell the cornies and upgrade to crusader kegs. But now arises the next problem, there is only a £15-20 difference between 20 to 50L kegs with 30L in the middle. It seems sensible to future proof now and go for the biggest at 50L but is there going to be any downsides to only filling them with 30L for example?
Re: What size kegs to go for...
Get a mix but bear in mind 50s are heavy to move about! and if you are not filling them to the top they will need a lot of co2
I have mainly 30s which are manageable but I also have a couple of 50s
I wish I had a couple of 20s
cheers

I run a pub at the moment so move my fair share of 50s and 9 gallon firkins. Might order a 50 for a session beer and a couple of 30s for more specialist brews in that case.
