Cleaning beer lines

Post by Mick56 » Wed Apr 15, 2015 4:12 pm

Just finished my small Keezer and wondered when sanitising the beer lines do I flush through with something like Starsan or do you recommend a specialist beer line cleaner. Cheers

Get some purple beer line cleaner, it's cheap as chips (when used in the quantities you need for a home bar) and it's also magic

Definitely beer line cleaner. Nothing else has the oomph to clear out the crud.

Is it safe to put the line cleaner in a stainless keg?

As long as you follow the instructions regarding maximum soaking time (which from memory is about 30 - 45 minutes) it's safe on SS. After all, most fonts and beer engines have SS components, so it has to be safe on it.

Cheers. They sell line cleaner in Makro. I'll pick some up there.
