I've seen a few guides about how to make a tee fitting tap system on Northern Brewer and The Brewing Forum, but has anyone on here actually built one?
Ideally looking for an idiots guide to parts if possible as the build seems simple enough.
Connecting minikegs to Co2 tap system
Re: Connecting minikegs to Co2 tap system
I built one and it worked really well, but using a dismantled soda stream. I will see if i can dig it out and take some pics.
from what i remember it was a 1/4"bsp T fitting, 2x 1/4"bsp to barb fittings, 1x 1/4" pneumatic quick release fitting.
A length of 1/8" copper brake hose with a 1-2" bend and the top and some silicon tube to make a bung in the T fitting.
you would need a bike tyre CO2 thingy as well if you are thinking of using the small CO2 bulbs.
Most of the stuff was purchased from ebay and probably cost less than a tenner!
Although it worked, i found that connecting to a hand pull meant that the kegs were change alot - i upgraded to Cornys.
I still use the minis, but as take outs to BBQs and such, and pour straight from the tap on the side. Theres never any left to go off!
