Hi all
I may have enquired about this before but can't recall
If I was to run a fridge with the thermostat set at its warmest, what sort of temp would it likely hold inside the fridge?
Cheers. Tom

I think it's probably entirely dependent on the fridge. Best to try it and see.

Not got one to play about with yet. Would be happier if I knew before I bought one

I had a feeling that might be the case

In general I think the controls are largely meaningless. Unless you have a thermostatically controlled fridge it's probably anyone's guess what temperature they're at.

Got my eye on a recon one for £50 so may take the plunge but I still need to sort out some space in my brew/computer room first

A fiver? Blimey, I need to have another look around

9 degrees would do me but I'm sure it'd be lower in the winter?

I got it on Ebay searching only in a 20 mile radius and was in no hurry they mainly seemed to sell for £40-50 but half if not pure white (ie cream or brown strip at the top) but for some reason they all sold cheap on the day mine finished (I was watching loads).

Why not get a fridge thermometer?
Set the fridge at 1, take note of the temp that it settles at.
Set the fridge at 2...
A thermostat is a thermostat.
Is the name derived from Latin?
Thermo - temperature?
Stat - constant, regulate?

I have one set at the next to coldest and it's just above freezing: perfect for lagering. There's a maibock in there right now.
Since fridges are meant to preserve food I'd bet you'd get a temperature below cellar temp and above lagering temp.
I'm just here for the beer.
