I have sorted my G type spear out. I have removed the safety catch so I can simply screw it in and out.
At the moment I am using a set of water pump pliers to screw it in and out. It's not ideal due to the unusual shape of the spear.
Can anyone recommend the best tool to use?
I can't find any specific tool available on the internet and I have heard they are very expensive.
Any suggestions?

Thanks for that, looks like a good idea.
However, I managed to get a Stilson type pipe wrench from Toolstation for £5 that has big enough jaws, not the best quality but good enough for the amount it will get used.
When I had first looked for Stilsons with bigger enough jaws they were about £40.
Might make something up similar to yours when I get a chance.
