American Mini Keg Systems

So I currently bottle all of my brews. I tried polypins in the past but they were not my cup of tea, beer was ok but no head retention pouring straight from the pin.

For me, mini kegs seem like a good option, but the options are still pretty limited. Anyone any idea why you can get much better (or are they?) systems in the US?

Get yourself a corny keg mate and then make your own kegerator. That is the way to go

There are soomany options, all options cost time and money, so look at it the other way. What do you really want. Will you upgrade, then go for the best option you can.

Mini kegs run-out quick... Corneeeey kegs last so much longer.

I dumped some just two weeks ago it had been in a mini keg and picked up a metallic flavour.

Don't overlook the 1/2 size barrels I have two 10 litre plastic barrels I picked up second hand.
I like them I've never had the slightest problem with them and they are twice the size of a mini keg.

I just like the look of the american system - wouldn't look out of place in any kitchen.

Mini kegs as I only brew 23L brews and I do like to bottle and share with friends / family etc..

Corny and fridge could lead to a divorce before we even get married!

The amrican fridge system in the link does look good but you can get a brand new black under counter fridge from ao.com for just over £100. That leaves you with £400 for everything else which is more than enough. I'm big into DIY so I'd prob go down that route.

I've got my setup in my garage so had an under counter larder fridge for about £40 off ebay and 2 x beer tap brackets which attach to a worktop. Pipework, kegs, regulator and CO2 - job done. I got 2 x 20L Sankey kegs and they were £120 for the pair.

If you did get that american system you would then have to get kegs for it. A new 50L would be about £70.

You'll find the price racks up whatever you choose, but when your supping a cold draught pint in the hights of the British summer it will be so worth it
