Keezer questions

Post by bquiggerz » Sat Nov 07, 2015 1:31 pm

Hello everyone,

Just a couple of questions about keezers.

1. I have a chest freezer, 18x15x23 inches. I'm wondering how many kegs this would be able to hold?

2. Is it just a standard stc1000 set up used?

3. Is there an adapter I can use for 5l minikegs?

4. How much height can I add to the freezer? 7" would allow me to have a keg on the compressor shelf.

Thanks,

Ben.

i added 9" to mine (three layers of 3x2). nice big area for mounting taps and regulators too. works fine but i think it's definitely worth adding a fan to circulate the cold air or you may get foaming in the lines near the taps. that's using an STC.
depending on whether you attach the collar to the lid or base depends just how much height you wanna add, lifting a full keg above your head everytime is not gonna be fun.
never used minikegs myself, but you can buy corny post sets that can be attached to any pressure holding container, so maybe something like that? think i've seen someone (jmc?) attach a bike valve to a minikeg..
dazzled, doused in gin..
