As per thread title, what suppliers are people in Newcastle using for their CO2, what are the prices (deposit needed?) and what size bottles are available please?

I haven't used them but Dixons of Westerhope do pub gas cylinders and refills probably best to phone them for prices etc http://www.dixonsgas.co.uk/gases/cellar-gases/gas-range

Have sent them an email requesting prices (they do quite a range of sizes) and we'll pay back here with the answer. I'm sure there was somewhere around Gateshead that was being recommended but couldn't find the thread to check.

I bought a 6kg bottle from this place. Think it was £65. Worth a ring to see if they have any in.

I own it now. It was second hand but re-certified (or whatever it's called!) by them so good for 10 years.

That doesn't sound too bad if it is easy to get cheap refills, will be interested to see if anyone else know of other suppliers though.

Cormeton Fire Seaton Delaval. Used them for years.

Give them a ring. Haven't brewed in a while but from memory their cheap enough and they fill while you wait. Also sold me a second hand regulator

Just been and picked up a 6Kg bottle of Co2 from Dixons of westerhope price was £60 deposit and £24.90 for the gas just bring the bottle back next time and pay for the gas

there are probably cheaper places out there but they are the nearest to me, very helpful and even carried the bottle to my car for me
