Kegging - help me plan it

Post by BrannigansLove » Fri Feb 12, 2016 12:48 pm

I'm looking to make the move to kegging this year, and building a keezer to house these at serving temps. My plan is to go initially with a single keg, and add a second at some stage.
1. What size chest freezer am I going to have to get to accommodate 2 kegs along with anything else like CO2 needed to dispense?
2. Would I be better going straight to the 2 keg setup?
3. How easy are kegs/beer lines/taps to clean?

Are there any other questions I should be asking myself/you guys before I jump in?

Cool, I was about to ask something similar. What I can pitch in is that 2 kegs with a small CO2 bottle and regulator should fit in an under counter fridge (just about). That's what the guy I bought my kegs from used. If you're looking for chest freezer this might come in handy:

This will let you see how many kegs you can fit. Works fine on my phone, once loaded it doesn't even need to stay on-line to recalculate. I was looking for a 3-4 keg keezer but after some reading I'm thinking about having some spare space for ageing. Otherwise I'd need yet another fridge in the garage :(
