New Kegs on the Block (possible future idea)

http://www.aliexpress.com/item/50L-316- ... 57674.html?

The price is very high for what it is, basically a keg with a large tri-clover port, one would assume the price would come down quite a bit if they proved popular, & I don't know how much of that is a ridiculous shipping charge.

The reason for posting, is way back in time when kegs were mentioned along side corny kegs the issue of cleaning would come into conversation.

Now if you had a traditional keg with the 133mm triclover fitting + a triclover blank fitted with a screw collar for a spear you would end up with a hybrid keg, all the advantages of a traditional keg & easy clean.

Pressures we are using they should be more than OK, although it is difficult to find specific ratings.

If used as a FV the item comes complete with holes for an airlock, however if the container were used with a blank cap for storage a PRV would be a good addition.

So all that is needed is for a company to manufacture these in both the 20l & 50l (maybe10l) with the 133mm trivclover fitting with the options of a blank with PRV, a blank with hole for airlock, a blank with screw thread to take spear.
Hair of the dog, bacon, butty.
Hops, cider pips & hello.

Name the Movie + song :)

The price is stupid and the purity of the stainless steel that all sorts of countries including the UK are producing is under scrutiny at the moment. Therefore, I wouldn't touch these with a bargepole. I'll stick with my cornys I think.
