Hi all, i'm just about to order my first corny keg and ancillaries and i'm pretty sure i know what i need thanks to The Malt millers website: keg, disconnects X 2, adaptors X 2, CO2 regulator, and several lengths of beer line. I'll obviously need a tap to dispense with and the malt millers website lists a party tap, i'm sure it works just fine but i was thinking of something a little shinier, however the other taps on the website all look as though they fit directly to the keg, and i'm sure i read on here that using a tap straight from the keg could cause excessive foaming, whats the solution?
Once i've sorted this i'll be back to ask how to actually use them!
Thanks.

This plus a shank and line adapter on the back of the shank. Attach through fridge door or thin piece of wood mounted to something immobile.

Also consider 3/8 to 3/16 JG stem adapters, means all of my beer line is very flexible 3/16 end to end and has the advantage of requiring really short lengths or use a bit longer to also restrict flow a bit more for the more lively beers

Re: First time cornie user - which tap?

£5+ on ebay for a 2nd use black plastic dalex style tap, lots of 2nd use branded jobs for a fiver or less last time i was shopping. unbranded ones started a lil higher @circa £7 iirc..

not as nice and shiny as some options BUT have the really useful feature of a removable spout.. which can save a lot of hassle allowing you to simply unscrew and soak the spout after a sessions pouring..
without a removable spout you will end up with a bucket and a squirty bottle to rinse out the spouts, or mess about with little silicone spout boots to keep wine flies out..

Thanks for the replies guys, just one more thing, i'm going to be starting with one keg but intend to get a second a bit later on, can i run two kegs with that regulator etc. by just adding a Y splitter to split the CO2 going into two kegs?

Try Ali Express too. Takes a bit longer but can work out a lot cheaper too.
