Kergerator /Fermentation fridge.
Kergerator /Fermentation fridge.
After some good advice on this forum, I've decided on a corny keg set up.
However I want to build a small kegarator first.
Plenty of information on here so that's not a problem as yet.
My question is can i use a kegarator as a fermentation fridge?
Seems logical but i can't find any posts that mention this.
I don't brew enough that i could justify both and as I still bottle, i can schedule so that i drink those whilst fermenting.
Am i missing something obvious here or is this ok?
Cheers Rich.

Re: Kergerator /Fermentation fridge.
EDITED - Sorry, I'd misread your post initially. You should be fine using the fridge for both.

Re: Kergerator /Fermentation fridge.
You can't use it for dispensing and fermenting at the same time but there's nothing to stop you setting at 18C for fermentation.
You could of course, ferment a lager and be drinking an ale at 12C.

Im OK with not using it for both purposes at the same time. I can schedule for fermenting and at all other times use it for cooling for dispensing. From an equipment point of view, the fridge will be fine for both these functions?

Yes it will be fine.
My fermentation fridges and my kegerator have been set to everything from 2C to 18C. No problem.

I've a corny and tap which I've used when had a party. I used sane fridge as I do to FV in. Just means can't do both at same time.

I use my fridge for ferementing and kegs
you just have to juggle the brews to free up space for when you need it.

Re: Kergerator /Fermentation fridge.
Yes that's my plan. Thanks everyone.
